Some forums do a clean up by emailing all registered users, if they dont get a response after 90 days the accounts are deleted. 180 days might be better.

Maybe we should clean up the user list on the forum? I don't know if spam agents use these fake users as way to get into registered forums or not, but either way, they just clutter the members list.

Most of them are spammers. They never confirm their e-mail address, and it's easy to confirm that they are spammers by searching for their forum nick in Google:

"viewing profile" "all about cigarettesmania"

Take a look at some of the most recent strange users (like many, these all have zero posts as well):

I removed many of them. I'm going to remove more spammer accounts in the next few days, and I will remove all older than a month users that didn't confirm their e-mail.

That is defiantly a spammer. He(it?) had made a post in general modern chips, about cheap cigarettes a few hours earlier. Seems to have been deleted now though.

i disagree as some users save settings, like to rememebr what posts they have had and what are new, and may PM from time to time.

I removed all one-month old or older users who never activated their accounts.
