By all means remove this for being spammy, but...

I've recently spent time on another forum, I won't name the forum - let's just say it involves exploring vintage synthesizers - but damn has it given me a whole new appreciation for this one. The whole time I've been here nobody has messed me around, they've all been helpful and polite, buying has always gone well. Absolutely no nonsense.
On the other board, the people who run it can't be bothered to write clear instructions, they then go silent or else resort to playground poop flinging when you raise the issue, if not outright attempt to erase all traces of it when you prove their dishonesty. A fellow I dealt with, who is actually running a business, wouldn't even talk to me on the forum and had me call him in the USA before he would even say a word regarding a sale which went sour. Whilst I remained calm and polite, he kept interrupting and cussing at me, he hadn't even sold me anything, which is lucky as I dread to think what would have happened if he had. The main issue was that he's a timewaster along with other people on the board, mostly those that run it.

So this is a thank you to everyone I've dealt with in any capacity here so far, know that you're a dying breed in today's world, sadly. My CPU collecting is pretty much over at this point, there's only a few that I kinda want but they're not 'must have' type chips for me. Still, I'll feel a lot safer here than I would over there should any of them show up. I also hope that if I ever sell here, I'm gonna be one of the good guys and not mess things up.

I'd also like to apologize for coming off as explosive in Vlad's thread, when I wrote that I was utterly furious with the situation at the other forum and should have waited instead of bringing it over here. I know full well that I can be a total asshole sometimes, but again people here proved helpful and tired to resolve the issue instead of erasing things and flinging ad-hominems around, namely Marcin, he didn't even have to do that, so I appreciate the fact he offered suggestions on what to do.

Just venting really, it's been a rough week.

Its a joy being a mod here, the most exciting thing I have to do is delete spam and fix some typos in posts LOL

The only thing that sometimes causes issues here is that its an English language forum, and sometimes things just don't translate well so things can get taken the wrong way (sarcasm/jokes usually lol)

I've been joyful using this forum since 2009, everyone is being help here. Myself and my collection have grown a lot.

Much appreciated to all mods, and gshv - the owner of the forum!

As a long time member - pretty silent here since a while as I have much other stuff to do and my desired collection is almost complete (only the very old stuff, a 286 is pretty new to me lol) - I can only second your words. There were some bad guys here showing up but the community identified those fast and although there was some loss for individuals the damage could be limited.
Helping is natural here.
And even thoug many of us ask evil prices on ebay prices here remain realistic (I admit I am one of them;-)
And it never bothered me when I sold cheap stuff here in the past and later got a pm why I just asked five bucks where I could add one more digit. Unfortunately my sources are almost all gone:-(
Also on the deep knowledge part here are many real cracks and I never saw a bad comment on a question.

Finally hats off to this forum and your topic is far from pointless or spamming, thank you for raising the praise:-)
