|
|
Just got a nice Nexgen Nx586 PF-100 CPU, but need some help to test it as I don't have an Alaris PCI motherboard for it.
Any owner of a working Nexgen PCI system that can test this CPU?
Please let me know on the forum or send PM.
Plan B - if you have a spare Alaris PCI motherboard, let me know
a low-res photo attached
Thanks

Curious why you need the CPU tested? _________________ The only thing I hate more than straightening CPU pins is having CPU's with bent pins in my collection. |

I tested 4 Nexgens, incl. one brown, and all of them worked. Maybe others have similar experience. _________________ Looking For Chips 386 J38605DX, Symphony FPU, Rise Tiger, MP6-II, Winchip 3&4, IDT C6-Early Logo, Nx686, Tesla 8088, L80C86, Bulgarian 8088, Pentium 4 QT69ES. |

I can test it, but I´m not afraid your nextgen won´t work, but afraid it will get lost during transfer, or customs will make problems. My package from east Asia got very quickly to airport in Prag, but the package is already 14 days somewhere between airport, customs and post office (Chips 386) _________________ Looking For Chips 386 J38605DX, Symphony FPU, Rise Tiger, MP6-II, Winchip 3&4, IDT C6-Early Logo, Nx686, Tesla 8088, L80C86, Bulgarian 8088, Pentium 4 QT69ES. |

Thanks misace, you are in pole position
Closer to Ireland would be better (less traveling to bring it home after testing).
One other option is to ship it to AVICC, and then to route it from there to the volunteer tester. |

| Good news, it works. I finally had the time to test it, sorry that it took such long time. |
