Can you spot the fakes here?

http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfrppZ25QQfrtsZ0QQfsooZ1QQfsopZ1QQsassZchipsfans

These im pretty sure of...

Intel TT80502120 Made in Taiwan (SK079 belongs to a TCP Pentium 75)

Cyrix 486DX2V80 PQFP(Black top)
(The one pinkie uncovered)

All with S-spec SL25J (belongs to a ceramic BP80502120)
BP80502100(Made in Taiwan)

BP80502120(Made in Taiwan)

BP80502133(Made in Taiwan)

BP80502133(Made in Taiwan)
(diff)

BP80502166(Made in Taiwan)

SL28J

BP80503200(Made in Taiwan)

BP80503233(Made in Taiwan)

Geode GXm-366(Fake???) (according to forum threads the fastest possible is 333. Something with multiplier. John?)

Which else are fakes? Have you spotted other fakes?

(This is not to discredit chipfans ebay sales as fakes. I think its a good oportunity to document those counterfits)

Edit: Added links

ROTFLMAO

On the TT80502120 you can even see parts of whatever was on the chip originally Smile And Intel never did a bad paint job like that that I am aware of.

The Cyrix 486DX2V80 isn't the only fake made out of the Blue Lightning - there were three with an identical adapter and identical markings on the adapter last time round Smile

I appreciate when whoever spots the fakes posts about them here, it helps not only those of us who see the acutions (and get uninvited emails telling us about them!) but it hopefully also helps the seller to avoid the pitfall of buying more in the future (as I assume generally that they are not aware of it).

I guess :
- I've seen another type of heatsink for DX2-50 Box, the same kind than those for 5x86.
- Usually, markings are IBM26 486V250HF, HF meaning there an Heatsink on cpu. Ishould not be GP.
- "IBM Microelectronics" marking is never used on IBM cpus
- And finally, this logo is a little flashy for a company like IBM, no ?

You like it because it is flashy ?

Anyway, I don't think it is a fake cpu, it is just a cpu with an oem heatsink that is made to look like an original box heatsink.

Nothing very serious...
