3 Snipers! Did anyone here win :p ?
A80386-12s are so rare that there is indeed so few references about their value.
Now I can see that I did not pay too much for both my own A80386-12s (S40277 and S40343) some time ago,
In 2013, one was gone for £150.
Meanwhile, someone else is still trying since months to sell an A80386-12 S40343 for $849-999... (with Best Offer, though) _________________ Stelo.xyz Museum (CPU Collection and more) |

IMHO it's worth more than an ES PPro or an ES OverDrive. If I had the budget and had to choose between those, I would have gone for 386-12 defo. I only bid $150

Agree, A80386-12s are neat emblematic pieces of x86 history (after all, we are still talking about "i386" software), and seem much rarer than even Grey C4004, and as rare as C8086s if not more.
But it looks like that demand is also significantly lower for some reason.
Though like every extremely rare collectible, the price could have been only $150, or in the contrary it could have exploded to $500 and more as well. _________________ Stelo.xyz Museum (CPU Collection and more) |
