If it's a private sale, this EU law does not apply. It's for registered businesses. |

Atyler34 = PayPal.me/retrotechs = Beth Stoll
Appeared here, offered some stuff, was very communicative and nice via PM until I sent $60. From then she did not pick up PMs any more and did not react to anything. Silence since three weeks. I opened a PayPal case.
Will keep you posted. |

True, but eBay (in Australia at least) applies the rule to all sales. It's easier for them to make a global automated return process/policy than manually distinguish between private and business transactions for every return requested. |

For long time I use eBay only to sell expensive items for high price and getting new contacts. I don't see a sense to use it in other way. Global trade policy is to eliminate private small sellers and only the biggest will survive. I remember how long germans wrote in their ads "Used item, private sale without warranty and no returns" - now with all this government/EU/eBay laws it can be thrown to waste bin. Not tracking registered mail is main reason to resign sending small parcells to USA/Canada at eBay. I was scammed to many times. In EU I use signature at delivery which costs cents and protects a liitle. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

If PayPal does not refund you and if you paid using a credit card then you can approach your credit card provider for a refund for up to 180 days after the transaction. _________________ The Older they are the Better they are. |

I remember eBay 20 years ago when you as a seller could be paid by anything other than PayPal. There was BidPay, a service to send Western Union money orders worldwide, and it was less expensive than PayPal today. No chargebacks or buyer scams. Sadly it was closed down in 2005. I stopped to sell on eBay when they raised the fees and enforced PayPal for all. They are greedy crooks.

Those were the good old days, and you could SELL anything too
Now that Paypal is independent again, eBay is banning Paypal payments too, everything will be handled by eBay's own high fee payment system. _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

I hadn't heard that they were going to ban PayPal. I guess that means I will have to give eBay my card details? _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

yah they paid ebay over $150 million for the 'privilege' lol
One of eBays main goals is to stop people from being able to do things out of eBay, and Paypal still had ways to get a buyers/sellers email address which eBay hated _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

Hmmm that being the case I wonder if PayPal will consider staring their own Global Auction Site?
If they did that then I believe that eBay would suffer and I think they would be very well placed to do so. _________________ The Older they are the Better they are. |

Can't, eBay has most of the patents on online auction stuff, they just sue everyone else out of the market lol _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!
