I'm the first ! And I need it ! The only one P5 Socket 4 missing in my collection (except the Pentium 50 ES).

But it is far too expensive... Sad

Yeah expensive. Got my k5 PR200 for $15, here, from John... And not only me... (http://www.cpu-world.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2142)
Well, OK, it was in 2005, but prices shouldn't be multiplied by more than 10 in forteen years...

After that, it is just a question of offer & demand. If there are "crazy hungry buyers", it will tend to have more and more crazy prices.
This is the current trend unfortunately (for buyers)

But I agree, rare and superb condition.

Geez, it's costly, but hmm...

I've sat here and waited kinda hoping someone else would take it so I wouldn't have to.

But they haven't, so I guess I'll put it down as an 'investment' (as if I'd ever part with such a thing) and take the SX754 off your hands if you're willing.

I'd say the price for the SX828 is good because I bought my SX828 9 years ago for USD200.

Just curious - were they tested and confirmed working? Or were these prices for samples of unknown working condition?

Unworking Mechanical Samples would be more expensive Wink

Being sold as unknown working condition preserves merchandise value in the event that the item is tested and fails. But if it is tested and works, value increases. So one might value the items as: Working > Unknown > Non-working, whereby the Uknown value can be appreciate or depreciate if tested.

I'm just asking to gauge how market value is trending.

For the pure collection purpose, the outlook of the cpu is the most important part so my valuation will be Good outlook>Working > Unknown > Non-working

I wonder for how much the next Sx754/Sx828 will be sold... $300? 400? :p

Maybe you should have picked up that one Mixeur :p At least you would no longer need to search for it.
Even though I agree that a 20 Fr gold coin for that is already way too much for me (not because I can't afford it)...
I guess that anyone that just want to fill some Sspec hole would pay any price anyway if the Sspec is really rare...
I was personally hoping that nobody buys the Sx754 so a price drop occurs or Offers were Accepted so I could get a decent trade spare Lol.

Now we are still really far from bigger collectibles markets where there are coins or other stuffs sold for tens of thousands of dollars and more.
