I've got 5 Epyc ES CPUs and two Supermicro H11DSi motherboards. The boards will power up and fans will spin but not POST. I downloaded the BIOS version that supposedly works with these CPUs, but I need a known-good/compatible Epyc CPU to use in order to downgrade the BIOS and see what the highest version is I can use with these CPUs. If anyone is willing to lend me a CPU I would gladly pay you - even put a deposit down while I have it.
I'm designing a custom case that will house an open loop for the dual 32-core Epyc CPUs and I'd like to be able to know whether the CPUs work. Any help is appreciated! |

Thanks for the recommendation. I was seriously thinking about doing this and then I got my hands on a set of 7551s to test. Ended up discovering that the ES CPUs I have work but that the memory I bought wasn't installed correctly (either in the wrong slot or not fully installed). Either way it was my fault but I'm glad I was able to test using good CPUs. |
