At that price, and with you being a new member, we need to see a photo.

I would even say that according to the rules of the forum - a photo is a must!

Let me explain in more detail.

This is a site for collectors. The price that people are willing to pay is determined by many things. The 2 most important factors are the chip's physical condition (the "looks") and its functional status (the "works").

For various buyers, the relative contribution of the "looks" and the "works" to the decision to buy is different. There are people who buy chips primarily for display, regardless of whether they work or not. Others (like me) generally don't buy non-functional chips, but the "looks" are still important for the buying decision.

For some long-time sellers with established reputations and very low priced chips, the photo may be waived. But as a new user selling a high-priced chip, it's not. Minor blemishes and imperfections can affect drastically the amount of money that buyers are willing to pay.

From his previous threads I really doubt it become serious sale. Completely no informations. For me its only SPAM sorry. No hassle no big money. Anyway I don't think someone from collectors here would pay 100 EUR for K6-III 450 AHX or even AFX ... half of that or even more realistic quarter.

Exactly. It's way overpriced even for a NOS chip.

I couldn't agree more and for me, good high resolution pictures of both sides of things are a MUST. I couldn't care less if things work or not because I'm never going to actually use these things and I only buy things that look great to the eye when displayed.

An items' appearance and condition is of the utmost importance to me and I'd never buy anything without seeing good pictures of it first...

Hehe I actually end up using between 30-50% of all chips I purchase here at least once. Sometimes I even build new projects with NOS chips. Using a DAC chip from the 1980s to make a custom audio output for a personal computer from the same era feels strangely appropriate. Very Happy
