I'd like to know which one is rarest cpu in PII and PIII series because I start to collect them. I believe it's great time to collect them as some of them are valueless in Hong Kong.

I just know the PIII 1G (SECC) is rare because the price is quite expensive.

Does anyone have any idea?

I have many P2 and P3 CPU's, I do feel that they will probably stay quite valueless as they will never be broken down for their minerals (gold etc).

PIII 500 and 550 in Socket 370 are not very commons

PIII 1000 Slot 1 is not expensive because rare, but expensive because it is the best slot 1 cpu, so best choice for upgrade.

I have Cumine 1Ghz/133 FSB/S370/1.95V. This is rare CPU. Usually 1Ghz Copper's have 1.7-1.75 VCore
Later I post S-Spec of this 'strange' processor...
Also rare CPU's:
a) any P!!!-S (because they always were expensive and oriented on server market) : P!!!-S 1133, 1266, 1400
b) P!!! Coppermine 1133, because most of them was recalled from market by Intel. For example, SL4HH (Slot1)
c) P!!!-D Tualatin, because they was fastely replaced by Celeron-Tualatin & P4
d) any ES and CPU's with S-Specs, not included in Intel datasheets & processorfinder....

Mobile P!!! may be interesting too (among them I found Celeron-Tualatin on 133 Mhz FSB, but usually their desktop analogues was only on 100 Mhz FSB!)

hint: huge amount of such processors can be found in brands or in uphrades for brand computers....

Note that lowest marking is absent (with frequency/cache size/fsb/voltage as "1000/256/133/1.95") Surprised

I was looking on processor finder at the different s-specs for Pentium III processors and found two that caught my eye.

SL4C3 (700MHz) and SL4KD (7333MHz) are listed as having a 495-pin package.

It was my understanding that Intel had being toying with the idea and went as for as sampling the 495-pin package for the Pentium III Xeon after the transition away from slot 1 and 2.

Has anyone seen the 495-pin chips and if so do they have pictures?

495 pins = ĩPGA2 (also named PPGA-B495), for mobile cpus. Nothing special else.

There are a lot of strange packages for mobile PII & PIII...

1133 in Slot1 exist. I don't see actual auction in polish Allegro but there is actual 1066 MHz version. 1000 was last model on 100 MHz FSB. Cost here about 50 USD.

Marcin Majewski
you are right: P!!!-1000 was the last & toppest model on Slot1 with 100Mhz FSB.

But I don't have evidences of existence P!!!-1066 or 1133 Slot1 Coppermine... Sad Do you have any?
