Hiya, not too keen on these little 'voting' threads, but I felt that this question was quite important.

I am close to putting some of my collection online, and I will be doing it with a flash aided website. It will only be for my own personal amusement, and for other users here to browse if they wish.

Does everyone here have flash installed on their browser?

Thankyou

I never use flash in websites. Think of the poor dial-up users!

Yeah I thought about that, but we had a poll here sometime ago and all of the regular posters here used broadband.

I have flash enabled in Firefox, but I disabled it for eBay because flash alone used over 500M of RAm at one stage! I couldn't figure out why my computer had slowed to a crawl until I disabled all the flash banner ads Smile

Flash can also look very shit if done poorly. Also text within a flash element will never look as crisp as a true type font.

Flash has a place in todays internet, Im not sure where it is though.

Im sorry I'm a little biased against flash, can you tell? hehe

Macromedia Shockwave is great for games. Ad's I dont care about cos I block them.

I dont want my internet content, flashy, interactive and noisy. I want my internet content to be concise, easy to read with good simple pictures. Maybe Im getting to old.

If done correctly, text in flash apps are just as good, and better than simple type font. It's also much more "attractive" to most people.

Have another planet you can go to? Because In a world where "most" matters, people seldomly care what the "least" want.

Hey guys, I just wanted to make sure the majority here could before I went and did it, I know a lot of people don't like flash and like to see things in a more simple informative light... I would just like to have a site which is more fun than anthing..

That's the biggest reason why I collect these damn things - they are fun Smile
