Hi guys,

one question. does anybody know the vintage computer
festival in germany? I am thinking to go there on the
weekend but I am not sure if its worth to take the effort
to go there. also big fleamarket is there.
just want to know if somebody already visited this festival
in the past and if I can expect to make some nice finds on
this fleamarket.

Thanks and BR
Peter

Damn bad timing. Was in Germany during easter - it would've been cool to visit that as well. However my girlfriend would probably have to be sent to some outlet with my credit card meanwhile Laughing

Hall not so big as from Google maps photos. It include exhibition and fleamarket. I think there will be more vintage computers and accessories than CPUs. Anyway those places are always worth to see if you live not far from there. I have about 1000km so to much effort for me Wink

I am in Berlin now and will be taking the ICE high speed train to Munich on this Sunday and return to Berlin on Monday night. I will have to read about this and maybe go to it if it is near the city center! Idea icon_dance

I will take pictures for sure, if I get there.
Twinrocket told me it is taking place a few miles from the city center so i may have time to get there for a brief visit.
I can't miss the great bier halls!

Sadly, I wasn't able to attend the VCF-Munich last Sunday. My daughter and I arrived in Munich midday to chilly rainy weather following a 4.5 hour train ride and the transportation to the event required a 4 mile subway ride followed by a bus ride.
On Monday we did make it to the Deutsches Museum and saw the Microprocessor exhibits, which were displayed beautifully.
I was told by a member that there was a Busicom Calculator on display, but I never found it.
I took some pictures posted below.

Cool stuff, thanks John.
I bet they did not get hands on a grey traced 4004 so they wiped off the markings from a different chip;-)
