I was wondering if anyone here had a motherboard that could run my i7-3960X qualification sample (QBE7), as I don't have the money to buy a LGA2011 motherboard.

I am thinking about selling my QBE7, and wanted to know if someone here would be interested in testing my processor. I want to know if my processor even works, and I also would love a CPU-Z screenshot.

I'll pay for shipping to and from you if that's alright.

Let me know if you're interested in testing my QBE7!

Thanks a whole bunch!

I've got a couple different LGA2011 boards, I could happily test it for you. Might even be able to find a cheap board too.

Oh for real? Sounds like a plan! Do you think you could take a CPU-Z screenshot?

Absolutely, I can run any benchmark you'd like as well.

Do you think you could run a PiFast benchmark at 4.0 GHz? How much do you want for all of this?

Thanks!

If you just want to test it, and you don't really care about overclocking, you can get decent enough "X79" motherboards from China. They are socket 2011, but use a consumer chipset with a special BIOS that allows 2011 CPUs to work.

You wouldn't owe me anything at all. If you cover shipping, it's not a big deal for me to test it out.

Oh for real? Thanks a bunch! I'll let you know when my processor arrives (hopefully on Monday), and then we'll go over shipping and all of that.

I'll look into that if I decide to not sell the i7-3960X.
