|
|
I have two strange Althon K7 (Slot A) processors
AMD-K7600MTR51B A 230011534692
AMD-K7600MTR51B A 230011552203
I discover that the core speed of this two cpus are 700Mhz (It should be 600Mhz) after I destroyed the cartiage.
Does anyone tell me why AMD downgrade the speed from 700Mhz to 600Mhz. Is all this model (K7600MTR51B A) downgrade its speed?
In order to find out the answer, I open another model K7 cpu AMD-(K7600MTR51B C). The core shows that it's 600Mhz. It matches with the model.
Does anyone have any information?
Thanks,
Billy

Two possible cases
1) it was found in final testing to not work perfect at 700 (or was RMA'd and resold as 600
2) AMD needed to meet an order for 600's so filled it with excess 700's _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!
