Try a better heatsink and fan. I like the Zalman. I have a zalman flower and big 120mm fan over the top.
I also underclock my work cpu so it runs very quiet. Almost no noise. |

the problem i think is that the heatsink is uncleaned, so the air cannot raise the temperature _________________ PSP Slim 3.71 M33-4 |

80'C for an AMD 1300 !!!!
Wooaaaaaaaah ! Stop !
My kids 1400 runs at max load, a temperature of 51'C !
Yup,
Here are some tips:
One you might need to change your fan/cooler right away!Your chip will not last to much longer, for sure!
Two, make sure your chip is clocked right. As in, make sure it really is a 1300 and not a 900 or something overclockled!
Three, make sure you have cpu paste on there when u change coolers.(some people forget this!)
Four,A good air flow in the case is very important! Lots of case fans help I find ! If not , opening the side panel can reduce the temp too. OH ! by the way, check to see if theres alot of dust in your fan/s and cooler ! If these componates are stuffed with dirt and dust, it will present a big problem for proper cool-down of your componates!(Fans won't turn properly...)
last tibit of info I found with the K7 motherboards (sk462), I put a fan on the Via chip(little fan on chip in picture!) I realised after playing games for several hours, that a fan on that chip dramatically reduced tempratures!
