I made a Discord server for cpu-world.

As of writing, the server has no direct affiliation with the site itself. (It'd be nice to be official though)

For those who have not used Discord, it is a text/voice chat platform. It's mainly targeted towards gamers, but there are some pretty nice tech-related servers as well. I'd say it's very similar to Slack, and much more feature-packed than TeamSpeak/Ventrillo.

I think it's a pretty nice chat platform. Voice chat works pretty well. I've managed a few larger Discord servers, so it's no problem to make changes as needed.

Click the link below to join. You'll have to verify with an admin (uhhh... probably just me as of writing, so availability might be iffy) to gain entry (just tell them your cpu-world name).

All active CPU-World website and forum staff are welcome onboard as staff if interested.

If the CPU-World staff do not want this server to be active, please let me know and I'll take it down.

Here is the link to join!

If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.

Let me know if you need staff - I currently admin another tech server and a few Facebook groups.

Bumping this to remind everyone that this server still exists and is pretty active.

We just got to ~28 members so that's pretty neat.

I also have a few more staff than just me on there, so it shouldn't take long to get verified if you are joining for the first time.

I have stickied this post, as I am sure a few more members will benefit from live chat among collectors and enthusiasts.

These are absolutely fair arguments, but I don't see much here that is atypical of other social media platforms or free chatroom programs.

Is this why activity here on cpu-world has dropped so much lately? Crying or Very sad

Most members who joined from here are also still active here. It is still relatively new, and has actually brought some new members here Smile

I have made an effort to push people to use the forums for more permanent discussion and sales listings, as stuff tends to get buried in chatrooms.

Most the conversation on it is on overclocking various systems/ES processors

Has been some discussion on figuring out what some ES chips are, those are ones I would prefer on the forum, as they are historically interesting.
