When I'm looking for nice chips on scrap lots (or to identify blank chips), I often need a list of capacitors/resistors layout on the back of CPU.

I've started to build a public list for 478/775/771 CPUs. I scanned every different cap layout in my ES collection, but I probably still miss some of them.

So I need your help : If you find a different layout in your collection, can you please post here the S/Q-Spec and, if possible, a 600/800 dpi scan ?

Here is the link : https://x86.fr/cpu-by-capacitors/

I have Dempsey B0 and C1, but no scanner. I can take some pictures, if that would work?

I have an Intel Jayhawk that I can take a photo of after I get home from school. I’m pretty sure it isn’t a thermal test vehicle, as I remember my Jayhawk’s capacitors looking differently than the TTV you posted.

LGA771, sSpec is QBGC. A sSpec of a Jayhawk that also exists is QBGD.

My printer’s scanner sucks, but I have a good macro lens. Would that work?

I'm looking only for different layouts.

Dempsey B0 & C1 seems to be strictly identical to Dempsey B1.

Also, Jayhawk mech/thermal sample shares the same layout with Wolfdale-DP

I'll dig through my scrap chips tonight and see if there's anything you are missing. Might have a missing cap or two and bent pins though.

My Dempsey B0 is different to B1 and C1.

From left to right: QMOL (C1), QHZB (B1), QFCI (B0).

Very interesting. Can you scan the B0-step at 800 dpi ? (or 600 dpi) ?

I don't have a scanner with me, but I'll ask the photography teacher at school tomorrow if they can help me Smile

Jayhawk is a bit different than Wolfdale-DP.

Also found a Tejas photo (LGA775).

Images are attached.

Tejas never tapped out and the vr-zone picture is a well-known fake (they took it from the inquirer). The CPU pictured is an early B-Step Prescott.

Jayhawk added ! (I missed my own sample)

You sure Tejas never tapped out? I found a different photo of the backside.
