I wanted to revive the "world record CPU" threads we had going on for a while with a modern-ish socket, LGA2011 (includes LGA2011-3).

At the bottom of your LGA2011 CPU (Sandy Bridge, Ivy Bridge, Haswell, Broadwell), there's a serial number.

For an example: L410C306
The "410" after "L" translates to the year 2014 (4) and 10th week of that year (10).

For Everests ONLY:
On 35044521B0224, 0 = 2010 and 44 = 44th week of 2010.

Judging by your FPO, we will determine who owns the oldest certain LGA2011 CPU.

Provide a picture of your CPU with a FPO (or serial on PCB for Everests), and you will be ranked! Each category will have a top 10 ranking, starting with the earliest of each category.

So here is our list:

Oldest Sandy Bridge i7:
-crazybubba64 - QBE7, week 33 2011
-crazybubba64 - SR0KY (non-ES), week 6 2012

Is nobody providing photographic evidence of chips for this thread?

Alright, updated. Each section will contain a top 5.

Section "E5 v1 (Sandy)" is filled with 5 already. Who can make it to the top?

Well, you're mixing CPU date code with the unreliable packaging PCB date code. That doesn't make sense. Only the main CPU date code should be taken into consideration.

Sure I guess, but I'll have to mark it as such.

Where would I find the date code on my Everest if there's no date on the IHS?

I gotta redo rankings then if we're counting on the IHS serial for everything but Everests.
