Do these Core 2 chips really exist?

- Q9100 should have 6 MB L2 cache, not 12 MB.
- copyright 05 instead of 06.
- wrong font, easy to see the difference especially for "3" and "E". (Compare to any real ones, e.g. this, this, this.)
- too early date code for 54 nm quad.


If you look really REALLY closely at the photo, you can see a faded version of the original print. It's extra apparent with the "e4" circle.

It's also a bit suss that a mobile and desktop chip would exist with the same part number - though intel being intel...

That is what I thought too, to be honest.

I don't have much of a clue on whether if the desktop Q9100 does truly exist as a genuine part, and I am also beginning to question myself if they are actually fake.

[1], [2], [3]. These three Q9100 chips have the same 'L739A795' code on them, could it be a coincidence?

Probably all fakes from the same source. You can see the same artifact of the old "e4" print on the last image.
