I picked up an RCA CDP18S020 board with what looks to be an early CDP1802 white ceramic version. I couldn't find any information on the CDP1802DK

Curious what the "DK" would indicate, and any idea of the 649 date code. I'm guessing that it represents the 49th week of 1976?

Thanks!

It is indeed 1976, D is normal for the package, K is something else, wonder if they marked one specifically for the dev kits?

I believe it is a Military Spec

I sold my CDP1802DK for in excess of US$1000

D = CDIP
K = a screening option

Will double check my RCA price list and see if has a K in it

Wow, thanks for all of the info. Robev's kit was beautiful, I only wish I had the case/manuals.

Some history here...

An RCA CDP18S020 Cosmac Evaluation kit showed up on Ebay a few weeks ago, with a very reasonable BIN of $249 -

https://www.ebay.com/itm/RCA-COSMAC-Evaluation-Kit/183810035483?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

I hadn't seen one for sale previously and decided to grab it. The seller is probably well known to many of you as he runs bitsavers.org
It arrived and worked nicely.

I was completely surprised to see a second Cosmac CDP18S020 Evaluation Kit only a few weeks later on Ebay. This is a much earlier board and I figured it would go for a high price. Surprisingly I was the only bidder.

I look forward to getting it up and running as well.

Thanks as always for all of the information this group provides.

Both CDP1802D and CDP1802CD work in a temperature range of -55 degrees (Celsius) to +125 degrees, which is a military temperature range.
Plastic ones (CDP1802E and 1802CE) work between -40 degrees and +85 degrees.

I still have the RCA Cosmac Evaluation Kit and also the RCA Cosmac Development Kit along with all the Manuals for both and various brochures.

The only item I sold was the CDP1802DK

I will be offering them for sale when I finally retire in a few years

The first Dev Kit I purchased had a similar CPU to your unit. It looks like the IC versions supplied varied over time.

I wish you were a bit closer, I'd love to get a look at the manuals. Some have been scanned on-line but it would be great to get the remainder available.

I look forward to your (and my) retirement!
