Hmmmmmmmmmmm..................
I was calculating all the money going in and out of my account from CPU sales VS Shipping + minus Paypal charges(which hasn't been calculated yet)
Since January I sold $327.10 CAD in CPU's.
Now Shipping for all those totaled $167.89 CAD !!!
Hence balance is now: $159.21CAD ...and note that I didn't remove the total in Paypal charges yet !
Any simular cases?
Well, from now on, I'm affraid the shipping from my end is not going to be lenient ! It will have to be actual cost ,and none of this "package deal stuff" ! Sorry, tis that or I quite !!!

It is unfair for you guys. It costs me about a £1 to send stuff to you, but the same weight from you to me would cost around $5. _________________ 4000+ chips.

....ya it bites to see that I had to put out half of what I made on chips just for shipping! Basicaly it was as if I let them go each at $0.25, but paid $0.50 myself for them !
If anyone ever asks what sucks about being Canadian, well I found one for them

I try to cover PayPal fees with shipping cost but never earn money on it. I don't like eBay because some auction descriptions makes me destruction Check my auction description - I'm crazy about that. _________________ Visit ABC CPU - Virtual CPU Museum. |

When prices are reasonable (which yours usually are) most people aren't going to mind if shipping needs to be a little higher.
The cheapest airmail shipping from here to North America is £1.46 (for 100 grams small package rate), which is about $3.00 CAD. $2.00 CAD more for shipping on a package of the same weight, with the sort of prices you usually sell for isn't a lot. _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

I have the same problem. By the time I ship and subtract paypal fees there is just not much left when you sell chips on the forum at $3 to $5 each. I lowered my shipping because so many people are always complaining about shipping cost and I notice that I sell fewer chips if I ask for full shipping cost (postage, padded envelope, anti-static foam, time). I think I am going to have to make a minimum buy amount to keep this worth doing.

lol, our f...g french post decided to raise costs 2 months ago.
Now for a package minimum is 15€, for weight up to 500g, for anywhere in EU...
For USA ->23€ !!!!
And you can't send small objects in a letter, only paper or modern medias (CD, DVD,...)....
2 month ago, it was the same price for letters and packages. In fact, price didn't depend of form but of weight only.
Now, I have a big sotck of xeons, that I can't sell abroad... _________________ Register on x86-guide.net to manage and share your collection on-line !

....Here's an idea what I go threw for shipping quotes here at Canada Post in NB:
EXP#1
Small package 15cm long x 15cm height x 15cm width:
Anywhere in England:
Surface--->$5.35CAD
Air--->$7.30CAD
Note the weight please---->0.1Kg
EXP#2
Small package 15cm L x 15cm H x 15cm W:
Anywhere in England:
Surface--->$7.20CAD
Air--->$14.05CAD
Note the weight of package--->0.8 LB
EXP#3
Bubble envelop 9"L x 6"W x 2"H(Standard with 4-5 cpu's)
INTERNATIONAL(anywhere)
Surface-->$12.10CAD
AIR--->$27.55CAD
Note Weight-->0.8kg(approx 4-5 cpu's)
...So no matter what I do, shipping 1 cpu/eprom will always cost me:
Surface--->$5.35CAD
Air--->$7.30CAD
to International places !
What a rip !!!

very small bubble envelope, should weigh little enough to cost that little.
I tend to over pack for sending to Europe, as the Euro postal service likes to make things break, _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!
