A sequel in the adventure of "motherboard things".
This board has an AMD Geode ALXD800EEXJ2VD processor onboard, along with some amount of RAM and other support chips. Has two RJ45 ethernet jacks, two USB ports, an RS-232 DIN-9 serial port, and a compactflash port.
Not sure what this thing was for, maybe a very basic firewall? Pretty cool lookin' board though.
$7 and it's yours. _________________ My collection

Looks like something that would have been used in a Koolu mini computer. _________________ The only thing I hate more than straightening CPU pins is having CPU's with bent pins in my collection. |

| I still have one of these boards from alix in my work. Is quite modern, we bought ours back in 2011 and was pretty convenient to have such small x86 (was running a 400Mhz). Raspberry pi wasn't still in the market. |

We use them to assemble a captive portal for user authentication on a hotel wifi. Running a debian from the compac flash card (IDE interface). The 'display' is the serial port using a serial terminal emulator.
Very convnient board for embebed applications like you said, firewalls and routers. |
