Here's one of the many articles out there
The prices seem pretty darn good up against the high-end Xeons. Intel won't have anything to remotely compete with these parts for a while. (Maybe once they get Ice Lake LGA4198 parts out?)
I mean, just think of all the graphs you could have in task manager!

Hopefully they will actually be able to produce and ship them...
If they can't already produce enough 12 Cores...
Now I always wondered if one could run Windows XP with such processors, without using any RAM, fitting all the memory usage in the L3 cache :p

Wonder if thats possible LOL guess you could make an XP system with like 32mb of RAM and see what happens _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

there is no need to look for 32 MB of memory, there is enough 3rd level cache, it is 256 MB there. In general, the cache can be turned into a ramdisk divided into 2 partitions and install 2 operating systems ha-ha =) |
