Thank you, but I noted SIV failed to report the memory timing information. I suspect I need to add support for the chipset, which chipset is it? I am rather surprised that the Motherboard Cache is there, but no memory timings.

Please will you do Menu->File->Save Local and post the save file so I can test the chipset support I plan to add.

Did you just have SIV32L.exe? You also should have all the files from SIV.ZIP and once there are there the logos and device descriptions should be there.

I was pondering your vmr name which reminded me of the RSX-11M/M+ VMR utility.

No problem, I used an super socket 7 AOpen AX59PRO motherboard rev 2.0. Might try the Asus P5A as well, have a spare one around that I have to test anyway.

Will rerun the SIV32L.exe beside all content of SIV.zip file, as I run it separately when did the test. I will post the save file as well possibly later today, if not tomorrow.

on vmr part, no link to RSX-11M/M+ VMR utility (DEC networks stuff?).

Thank you, that would be great, those two motherboards have different chipsets so would need save files from both. SIV 5.41 Beta-15 may report the memory timing information on the AOpen AX59PRO. The P5A looks to have the same chipset as my MSI MS-5169 so it should be there. I also noticed the P5A optionally has a Health Monitoring Chip, does you board have it and is so what is it?

I noticed you have posted about NexGen CPUs, do you have one? If so a save file from that would be handy, but you need to use SIV 5.41 Beta-15 or later. Do Menu->File->Download->SIV Beta to get it.

VMR is Virtual MCR and is used to setup the system image that get's booted.

I have two NexGen systems, one PCI and one VL, where I could try that.
But both have no internet access. Therefore I need to download the beta version on my other PC and then transfer it to each of the NexGen systems by floppy disk. I used SIV V5.40 but download of the beta version failed. "Latest Releases" shows "Latest Beta" as "http://rh-software.com/downloads/siv_beta.zip", but when I enter this in my browser, I get "You don't have permission to access /downloads/siv_beta.zip on this server." When I click that entry, SIV tells me Downloading ... from URL "http://sivzip.cu.ma/bin/siv_beta.zip" and then HTTP Status 404: Not Found.
Hmm.

Thank you for your interest and it looks like the server is acting up at the moment, but I have a Plan B, the latest beta is attached to https://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=68756.

There is a minor bug in 5.41 Beta-24, it works for Model 15, but not Model 0. It will be interesting to see what get's reported by your CPUs.

Which OS do you have, SIV works best with NT, but W9x is also OK. Systems with >= 32MB are preferred, but should just about be OK with 16MB.

See https://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=68756&p=781484#p781484 for a report from an NexGen NT 3.51 system.

Update: The server is now working again and I have released SIV 5.41 Beta-25 which should report the NexGen L2 Cache size.

How many different NexGen CPUs + Motherboards are there and do you know anyone with a NexGen Nx686 system please?
Code:
function 0Eh: misc (not supported on 033s and 033v)
Version 034i requires CPL0 while versions 034n, 034p and 034q allow all privilege levels.
subfunc 00h: read configuration registers
E:-
R: AH=0 and CF clear,
    EBX=CFG0, ECX=CFG1 (configuration register 0 and 1),
EDX=FCFG (floating point coprocessor configuration register)
    EDI=CCFG (cache configuration register)

I found this information in your NexGen area and Menu->Hardware->CPU Detial->NexGen NXOP should report it. Do the values look correct and can you point me to the definition of what they contain please?

Some weeks ago, I tested a DOS programme writen by amadeus and found that the Easter Egg is also present in my Rise iDragon cpu (MP65RPAPH4-Q 500MIPS). So it's likely that it is also works with Lynx cpus

Thank you and given this I too suspect Lynx will have it.

I wonder if it's possible to tell an iDragon from an mP6 (Lynx), what does my SIV (http://rh-software.com/) utility report on it's Menu->Hardware->CPUID->CPU-0 panel please?

Sorry, it took me some time to make the screenshot as the system was under maintenance. But now here is it:
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-5AX (Rev. 5.2) with chipset ALi Aladdin V (Rev. H)
CPU: iDragon MP65RPAPH4-Q 500MIPS clocked at 250 MHz (2.5 x 100 MHz)
Graphic card: 3dfx Voodoo3 3500
3D add-on card: Matrox m3D (PowerVR PCX2)
NIC: 3Com 3CR990-TX-97 with XP processor
Sound card: Terratec EWS64 XXL (not installed as still under maintenance)

Thank you and every thing is as hoped it would be. The iDragon reports the same as an mP6 (Lynx) so I suspect SIV can't sensibly report iDragon.

I have added 3dfx Voodoo 3 support to the latest SIV 5.41 Beta, if you wish to check it do Menu->File->Download->SIV Beta, the clocks should be on the initial screen and Menu->Machine->GPU Info should report more including the Voodoo 3 memory timings.

I guess you just have SIV32L.exe which is why the logos are absent, they get loaded from SIVRES.dll which is within siv_beta.zip along with all the PCI device descriptions, etc..

I have just been looking @ the Rise mP6 documents and they talk about the mP6-II, do these exist?

My old PC systems are not connected to the internet for security reasons. The only way for me to get the beta version is you send it to me via Mail or PN.

As far as I read in 10+ years old forums it exists and is really rare. I'm looking for it but it takes time.

Thank you and good luck in your quest to find an mP6-II.

For the Beta you could use any internet connected system to do the download then copy the files within siv_beta.zip to the old system, another option is to use the .ZIPs I attached to https://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=68756 which also has some notes on running SIV on elderly systems.
