These are some pretty interesting mobiles.
Some of them use a different capacitor arrangement than the final production parts.
I unbent all of the pins and tested each chip for functionality.
A good chunk of these have 2009 date codes, making them VERY early sandy bridge.
I tested the chips in a Sony VAIO PCG-81311L laptop.
These should all be quad-cores with hyperthreading.
A1 chips would not POST. Fan would rev to max. Not sure if A1 sandy was ever bootable.
B1 and B2 chips would get to the BIOS logo (VAIO) and just sit there. Maybe there are machines available that could boot it completely?
D0 chip POSTs just fine, seems to be similar to an i7-2760qm.
