| Just curious if anyone knows, but is there any way to identify an unlocked core multiplier through CPUID or MSR's? Particularly curious of this regarding Intel QDF / ES chips. The easy way obviously is to try it and see if it responds, but that isn't always an option, particularly with mobile chips. |

Intel XTU will report if a chip is unlocked. It also lets you set the turbo multipliers.
HWInfo64 can also identify this.
ThrottleStop is another tool that can configure multipliers. _________________ My collection |
