i have been meaning to add some more info to the profile section for some time, but recent events made me get it done.
In August, longtime forum member and collector calg5 of Canada passed away unexpectedly (he was selling on eBay at the time leaving his wife to sort things out)
I added an 'Emergency Contact' section to the profile page
This you can add a person to contact if I am unable to contact you for some period of time etc, as well as any instructions for what to do should something unplanned happen (if any)
I hope this will help for future events, and seems to be an inevitable problem for all of us who collect unique things
I also added a couple other things
Shipping/Customs notes
More countries are having more odd requirements/restrictions, here you can note them, such as weight limits, best description/value for customs form etc, anything you think I should know in shipping
eBay/Paypal info
Sometimes I get stuff via ship assist that didn't get entered or I cant find whose it is, this will help me match stuff to its owner faster
( http://www.cpu-world.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19018 you can see ths happens a fair amount lol)
I also sometimes get payments without a AVICC username attached, most the time I know who it is, but some peoples Paypal address/name is different from what they use in AVICC, this should help me again match loose ends
Collection Focus (Coming soon)
I also will add a section for you to make notes on what you collect, such as 'x86 only' or anything shiny and gold, or whatever, so I can better find things that you may like _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!
