Had never seen a voodoo2 with the new logo on all 3 chips. Is that one of the later models?

Here: https://ebay.com/itm/233394266031

One of the fairly rare variations had the new logo on the two TMU chips and the old logo on the main chip. But this one is different, any info on this one?

Date codes on the various chips put it in the early weeks of 2000, so that would be a VERY late voodoo2.

I don't know when they were produced, but I was still selling Voodoo2 cards in late 2000. They were the cheap upgrade option for cheap motherboards with onboard video and no AGP slot.

Cool, but to be honest, I liked the original 3Dfx logo better ..

It is a late Voodoo2 indeed and it's quite uncommon to find one that has the new logo on all three chips. As far as I know only Powercolor Evil King has Voodoo2's with new chips in their portfolio and I assume all of them are 12MB.

Another interesting difference is that these cards have a higher memory density. Regular 12MB cards have 24 512KB chips (12 on the front, and 12 on the back of the card). The late Powercolor Evil Kings have 12 1MB chips on the front and no memory chips on the back.

In performance there is no difference compared to older/regular 12MB Voodoo2's.

Actually; Voodoo3's have this same old&new logo story but reversed. Early Voodoo3 cards have the old style 3Dfx logo whereas regular cards have the new style logo. You can find pictures of them on my site: thandor.net - Voodoo3 2000.

That's nice, thank you. I previously bought one of these from the same seller.

All I want now is a new STB V2 1000 to make a SLI.

Late reference V2 manufactured by STB also have 12 EDO memory chips on the front and 12 empty pads on the back. Usually Mosel Vitelic V53C819HK. No performance difference, just a cost reduction.
