I recently tested this Xeon E5 QA98. I found on the forum that it is a SANDY BRIDGE-EP-8.

http://www.cpu-world.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15377

cpu-z identify it as a LGA-2011 SANDY BRIDGE-EP/EX ... but it is LGA-1356 CPU!

So, cpu-z might be totally wrong or... did Intel put some SANDY BRIDGE-EP inside LGA-1356 packages? Any thoughts?

Xeon E5
-> Sandy Bridge-EN B0
-> ES2
-> CM8062007187237
-> 2.00 GHz
-> 6C/12T
-> 15M L3
-> LGA1356

Can you please post a CPU-Z Validation link to let us correct the issue?

I thought it was a CPUID link... Embarassed

Well, I'll have to dig out the my LGA-1356 Mobo to rebuild this configuration.
I'll be able to do that in a few days (as soon as the temperature here goes below 30°C Smile). I'll post the link.

Seems that's correct for QA9F, but Socket is wrong. :-/

Name & Socket are wrong because E5-2648L is on LGA-2011
But maybe it is not because CPU-Z, maybe it is because of Intel.

Technically, this is an ES (not a QS) and ES don't have names.

Commercial retail names are often defined way after ES are released.
