Here are some nice uncommon National Semiconductor 486 CPUs

These are in a PQFP132 package and run at 25MHz at 5V
They have a built in DRAM controller (16MB max)
It also has a 1K instruction cache and is optimized for use with RTOS's
It has a 32-bit Address bus but only a 16-bit Data bus

These are New Old Stock

10x NS486SXL-25 Rev A NOS $12 each or a pair for $20

These are really weird chips. Are they Cyrix based?

The Datasheet isnt clear on that, I would assume so, like Cyrix 486DLC perhaps.

They say Intel486 Protected mode compatible

I thought SXL chips had 8 KB L1 cache? Guess that's only true for TI branded chips?

These have other stuff on die, so they maybe reduced it to make more room and save power
