These are some interesting computers based on a pair of PairGain SPAROW II DSPs.
PairGain was acquired by ADC Telecom in 200, which itself was swallowed up by Tyco electronics in 2010
The SPAROW (Signal Processing Adaptive Receiver On Wire) is a 250MIPS DSP made for HDSL applications
They are a CMOS design with 240,000 transistors.
There are 2 on the board one for each pair of copper on a standard phone line
The boards also have a custom ATMEL chips, some Flash and a Philips P80C32EFBB Microcontroller for system management duties
$5 each
I have 13 of these board _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!
