Does your mail offices work? I sent a parcel to France a couple of days ago oops.

Generally write how your mail offices works in different countries? After all, this is the main means of communication can be said for everyone. For example, in my country they do not take parcels from us to China and South Korea, as well as from these countries nothing comes to us.

In France, mail/parcel are still delivered. Some post office start to close though (where I live for instance). So inbound mail should arrive, outbound may be more complicated as time goes.

Yes, in one day it all works but in second is closed. I must pickup a new car documents in Town Hall Tomorrow morning but now - here I'm not sure if they will not close the doors before my nose Laughing That is how things goes fast last time.

Just found out that my nephew and niece have symptoms, so the whole family are having to isolate. Sister and nephew both have asthma, so it is especially scary for them.

I had asked my sister to pick up some shopping for me. Thankfully, a local Labour Party member has offered to help out now I am isolating. Nobody knows how many are really ill here, as the UK government don't consider testing to be financially viable.

My niece is a teacher, and has been told 15 pupils in year one are isolating. That is more than the official count for this county!

Here in The Netherlands they also stopped testing people, only if you are brought to the hospital they will perform a test. Ridiculous. Also this means you can't trust the numbers, and the percentage of deaths. Also they think here that herd immunity will work, but nobody knows for sure. It's just a mess.

I think it's ok to not just test to know the numbers. In the end, we are concerned about lives rather than numbers and statistics. If you've used all of your testing capacity on "everyone" you might not have the capacity to ensure correct treatment of the person with risk factors coming in in a severe state.

Here, they don't even test front line medical staff, who don't have the proper safety gear like masks.

Completely all services here are involved in detention of epidemic (medic, Military, gendarmerie, police, firefighters) but hard to say that situation is under control. Education institutes are closed since 10 days, offices since Monday, bars, restaurants and all other shops except with food and medicine since Saturday. Other restrictions are matter of time - see italian case.

Hmm. Similar as it is to most countries, a lot of people are stockpiling stuff too in Singapore. It has gotten so bad to the point that the local supermarket in here, has placed a purchasing amount limit on some 'essential' products to prevent them from running out of stock. Really reminds me of the hard drive shortage from a couple of years ago.

It's a good thing that my entire food supply comes from McDonalds, that way I don't need to uh, stockpile... I'll just order the things that I need and hope that it comes in one piece.

From what I've noticed regarding schools and work in here, nothing has changed. The only change that has happened is the addition of a lot of precautionary measures, that's about it. Everything is going on as per usual, although some of the businesses here are suffering from the lack of customers. Cafes for example, they appear to be quite deserted.

Our mail has announced that it does NOT send ANYTHING and will receive nothing except Russia, China and Hong Kong.
People in stores are starting to buy a lot of food, but there is plenty on the shelves. But it seems that they take the volume for 1-2 months.
P.S. Internet is still available lol.

For now, everything is as usual, everything is in the stores. Post works both ways around the world. Perhaps we Russians are the most irresponsible. An urgent need to enter quarantine and buy in stores the most necessary. It is sad to see everything that happens in the world Sad

Post still works in Ireland, but social distancing is advertised a lot. Schools are closed, same for childcare. People working from home in most companies that can enforce it. Think next will be shops introducing food rationalisation.
