I'm really excited to share these two awesome Pentium II samples I found last week. Very Happy

The first is a DC80522PX233512EC Q101 that I found in a scrap lot. It was dusty and barely visible in the corner of the auction photo. It's looking good now and confirmed working in a PD440FX motherboard. Stepping is C0.

The second Pentium II ES is extra exciting because it's a really early sample that I've been trying to find for at least 8 years. It was a really lucky find. Very Happy

I haven't tested this one yet because there is some corrosion on the contacts and I'm afraid of it shorting out. I need to get it cleaned up a bit and then I'll give it a try. I also need to rig up a heatsink solution for it, probably using the back plate off another Pentium II.

DC80502PX233512 Q071
CPU die manufactured Week 33, 1996
PCB assembled Week 43, 1996
From the die cap markings it looks like a B0 stepping Klamath core as opposed to the A1 core in the Q999.
The die cap is marked Q046 - B.
The Tag RAM is marked Q986ES.

Great, just like ot have all specs and part numbers in the posts, so its searchable down the road (should add the cache tag/controller too)
