Looking for a Core 2 Duo T9500, SLAYX or SLAQH.

A T9300 will also suffice.

eBay would probably be your best bet. T7600G's are very uncommon (iirc they were only sold as an option for the XPS M1710).

They are, but i'm not risking buying one in China and getting scammed, fake X9100's are very common.

Are you looking for an X9100 or X9000? The X9000 supports 800MHz FSB where the X9100 is 1066MHz.

One way to identify fakes is to compare the package number of the PCB (the hard to read numbers on the left side of the chip) to a known real chip (assuming the seller is showing a picture of the fake rather than a real one)

Often or not the fake X9100's are remarked Merom-based chips (like T7400's) since the die sizes are similar.

Another option would be to simply buy a whole laptop that has one of the chips in it (often or not these won't be too much more expensive than the loose chips), swap it out, then flip the laptop.

X9000, Santa Rosa does not support 1066 FSB without pinmodding.

And buying a entire laptop with a X9000/T7600G is out of the question, there are none for sale as of today. (although I did persuade some guy with a XPS M1730 to sell the X9000 seperately a few years ago)

YES, scored a T7600G on eBay! Paid way too much though, but my ultimate M90 build is almost finished.

GOD DAMN IT! It ended up being a known fake, it's remarked too.

Man, it hasn't been the first time I fell for this bullshit. Got scammed on a X9100 and 940XM earlier.

Please upload a high-res scan here so we can try to find any way to identify fakes better.
