Will this processor support a Windows 10 clean install? |

The CPU will support it, but I strongly recommend looking on the laptop manufacturers site to make sure you can get any necessary hardware drivers first. Otherwise you might end up being unable to set up your network connection to get the drivers you need. _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

Hello,
I would NOT recommend running Windows 10 on 1-core CPU.
The processor definely supports ANY operating system (in your case x86 Windows) but Windows 10 is very slow and it takes too much RAM! I don't think you will really be able to work after such upgrade. Upgrading to Windows 7 is the optimal solution for you, IMHO.
As for drivers, usually there is no problem with that generation of hardware, it worked both at WinXP and Win7. The common problem is an absence of some drivers for Windows 8 and 10 for some old hardware like old ink printers. |

Maybe your Windows 10 ISO image or DVD requires UEFI motherboard, and your old MB has only BIOS. I'm not sure.
You can really forget any single core for using modern heavy applications, like Windows 8-10 or latest versions of Mozilla Firefox.
But there are still enough applications where old 1-core CPU could work fine, even if it is 800 MHz P-III |

I've ran Windows 10 on a single core CPU before (Intel Core 2 Solo SU3500), i don't recomend it, it was slow even with SSD as boot drive.
most AM2 chips should be able to boot Windows 10 (both x86 and x64), i find werid yours can't. Make sure NX bit is enabled and check if it can boot 32 bit at least, but still, i'd suggest using Windows XP or 7 for a single core, 10 is not really optimal |
