|
|
Hello,
I have 2 DIMMS Kingston KHX1600C9D3T1K2 with default timings 9-9-9-27.
All 1600 MHz DIMMs that I see now on sale have timings CL11 or even 16-16-16-39.
- Will they work together with my CL9?
- Will I feel the difference?
- How should I install 2xCL9 + 2xCL11 DIMMs into 2-channel motherboard (2 black and 2 blue slots) for best performance?
Thank you. |

| They'll all run at CL11. |

Usually yes, but it's no guarantee.

Personally, I've never "felt" any difference when tightening latency. It might improve performance on random read/write, but not by much.

Typically, put the matching sticks in matching colours. Double check the motherboards manual though before taking my word on it. |
