If in the USA they were used before 2014, then what happens in the rest of the world? A punched card is better protected than a floppy disk.

I have many 8 "floppy disks in chic black plastic boxes. They will be sold soon.

There are some plus side on these antiquated floppy disk and its drive. But, the flip side this technology has been long outdated by the size of the storage medium.

I have been clearing out bunch of old diskette that my late father collected all these years in preparation to move to my new home. I found some of the old porn .gif files that my brother downloaded from the 1990s to these diskette Embarassed
