What's the weight of these? I'm thinking of just 3D printing some. The cost of raw materials is about $25/kg.

Without wanting to start a discussion about it - you might want to consider ESD safety. That said, I have made some designs, that I have 3D printed myself - until now for Socket 5/7/370/A and Socket 8 - but 486 size will probably be soon in line ..

I have just checked with my Socket 7 trays, they are about 115g each. These shouldn't be much different. About $3 to print a single one. Makes sense to buy these for $4 each. I'm up for 20 trays.

Probably also need to consider the cost of experimental ones, and if your production volume is not large, your cost of 3D printing will be more than $3 each Very Happy

Also it takes too long to 3D print a CPU holder.
