Hi I got AMD athlon IIX4 640, installed memory: 2x2 GB
info for AMD: DMA memory I/O
Supported memory: DDR2-1066, DDR3-1333
DIMMs per channel: up to 2
Maximum memory bandwidth (GB/s): 21.3

When I look at DDR3-1333 they have some different descriptions, please advise what size I should get, i.e. is 4 GB ok, and what is important to note when buying. a link would be appreciated.
thanks, ursula

Most boards are pretty tolerant of different RAM speeds and capacities.

4GB and 8GB modules should be fine to use.

If you want 1333MHz modules, make sure the sticks you buy are marked as "PC3-10600U" and not "PC3-10600R".

Oh thanks, what about putting in another 2 sticks with 2GB each, as I have that already in the ohter slots? I cannot see the PC3 mark you mention for Kingston. what about that? Kingston 2GB 1333MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 DIMM SR x16

Those sticks should be fine. Kingston tends to label their parts a bit differently than other manufacturers.
