AMCC bought the PowerPC 4xx design from IBM and continued to evolve and market it.
These are the 440GR, a fairly rare version of the PowerPC 440
They are a 533MHz processor with 32K L1 caches they are made on a 0.13u Cu process
The 440 core is a dual issue 7-stage PowerPC coree, it lacks a FPU but does have a MAC and some DSP support as well
6x AMCC PPC440GR-3BB533C $6 -> $5

yah I hadn't seen them before either but wasn't sure if I had missed them or something
