Or RDRAM if somehow a Socket 423 motherboard supports 64 bits Prescotts, maybe with Bios Mods... | Rampage Extreme + SL7QB = fun for days :^) |

I'd be very surprised if it works on a socket 423 board as that socket only supported Willamette, and Prescott is 2 generations later, I very much doubt the chipsets would have 64-bit support as that was a future plan at the time. _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

max1024, can it be bug of Win 7?
I mean that P4 (EM⁶⁴T) can work win 64bit OS.
But at moment of creating Win 7 they decided that 478CPu do no need or can't support more than 3.2 Gb RAM.
Or it only my guess it's error in PAE system of Windows. |

I think it may be more of a motherboard issue, probably memory remap support disabled or missing |

good question ha-ha, but abit ic7-max3 is rare and I don't know any people have it. In my experience, as for touching to support and etc. more better is Asus, Abit in this case suffers from incompatibility. |

| Can anyone confirm if the SL7Q8 works with a dell dimension 4600C? Last official bios release seems almost verbatim reference the f41bd09 microcode with the exception of the last 17 bytes |

| The Dell Dimension 4600c with the SL7Q8 did not work. The Dell logo appears at start but freezes a third of the way through the progress bar. |

Does anyone have copies or preferably links to official bios files containing these microcode files?
f41-02-0e
f41-0d-bd
f41-9d-05
f41-bd-0d
I'm trying to exhaust all known existing f41 microcodes according to mcextractor. there are 8 in total 5 of which i already have copies. the 4 mentioned above i do not have copies. I have already modded the dell 4600c bios 3 times succesfully with different f41 microcode (in the sense i updated the cpu microcode albeit the SL7Q8 does not work ). From the research i've done it seems that f41-bd seems to be the highest probability of working.
These are the f41 microcode updates tries i've done so far none of whcih made the SL7Q8 work
f41-9d-05
f41-bd-09
f41-bd-17
I'm ultimately accepting of the fact that perhaps there there may be something written in the bios that will not allow this cpu to work with this bios ( that has nothing to do with microcode update). Like i said previously i'm just trying to exhaust all known f41 microcode updates and in need of these microcode bin files
f41-02-0e
f41-0d-bd
f41-9d-05
f41-bd-0d
I know i'm grasping for straws but why not? |

I sifted through a bunch my files and found some some of these f41 microcodes.
These are the f41 microcodes I still need
F41020E 20041103 5120bytes
F41BD0D 20041103 4096bytes |
