Strange looking ceramic Pentiums

Hi,
Today I got bunch of CPUs including these two strange Pentiums :
First (on left) is Pentium 100 which have very deep engraved prints. Most of Pentiums which I saw had shallower or only with paint prints. It is for sale/trade Smile

Second one (on right) is Pentium 166 with unnormal printing :

That's because the second one is an engineering sample. Smile The top engraving varies, but thw Q135 is what matters now. Smile

Yep. chipcollector is right.

The Pentium 100 is probably a fake. I have a few fake Pentium processors with the same "unnatural" look.

Ok so summary is that : first is going with gold scrap but second will be prouded chip in my collection Laughing

One more thing is that the first has R and TM ,while the second, has 2 R's

It's a qualification sample, not and engineering sample. Intel was probably switching to newer stepping.

I think Morkork had pretty good explanation of different types of samples on his site. I'll try to find it.
