|
|
These are Marvell DE3005-A1 (full part number is the 88DE3005-A1) SoCs
This is part of the Armada line called the Armada 1500 Mini (it supports linux)
It was made for the original Google Chromecast in 2013 and later used by the Steam Link game streaming device
It has an ARM Cortex-A9 processor @ 1.0 GHz with a Vivante GC1000 VegaLite GPU
It has an L2 cache but I am unsure how large
Interestingly Marvell sold this line of processors to Synaptics in 2017, which has rebranded them as the Synaptic VideoSmart Processor (and bumped the clockspeed of this mini up to 1.2GHz)
These particular ones are from late 2012 (week 51) likely the first production run for the Chromecast
They are New Old Stock
$3 each
2 for $4
5 for $6 _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

These things must be tiny, I have one of the original Chromecasts and it's barely bigger than a regular USB drive. Still works fine.
But I can go for another 5. |
