Just a couple nice ones that I ended up with.
First is a Asus K7M Slot A board (VIA chipset)
This is version 1.06 with 1.04 HP Branded BIOS.
Its the OEM version with no sound or ISA slots and only 2 DIMMs, but otherwise compatible (normal BIOSswork on it)
I did test this one to see if it POSTS, it does, but probably needs a new battery, it thinks its 1990
Includes the button panel connector (on switch/LEDs) and a extra USB port connector
$60 and its yours
Second up is a Gigabyte GA-586TS Socket 7 board
Manual here:
https://mbmanuals.retropc.se/manuals/47/586t2.pdf
This is a nice AT style board with ATX PSU support.
Its the 82430TX chipset with 2 DIMMS and 4 SIMMS (256MB max)
512K L2 Cache
2.0-3.5V (or auto)
1.5-5.5 Multiplier
60/66/75 FSB
I didnt test this one (didnt find a PCI video card)
$25 _________________ New for 2025! The CPU Shack has a co-processor!

That's a very good and stable Slot A board.
With AMD 751 Northbridge (aka Irongate) and VIA 686A Southbridge.
Someone should take it.
I already have two of these !!! |

LOL - I wish it were about money, but it's not. It's about space. I have over 100 motherboards, and together with other stuff they're taking up the whole basement plus some of the living space. |
