I recently downloaded the latest Windows 10 iso. It is slightly too large to burn to a regular DVD-R SL disc, so I bought a few DL discs, and burned the image. Tried to boot from the new disc on my Z170 system (my main PC).
Turned out the DVD drive doesn't support or recognise DL discs. Fortunately, I had a BD-R burner with M-Disc support. Only thing it can't do is burn M-Disc BD-R discs. Swapped it out this morning, and can now boot from the Win 10 disc, so will be reinstalling later this weekend. As I had been using my FM1 system for copying DVD movies, I hadn't come across this issue before I'd even forgotten I had put the original BD-R burner in a PC I built for a friend last year
Now I just need to remove the drive bays to put a filter on the intake fan, and clean out the ton of dust in the Little Devil case from not using a filter. Going to retire the FM1 system from daily use after that, and replace it with an AM3 system (I can't live with only one daily driver) as a file server and protein folder. Might even make that my new main system until I can afford an AM4 or newer motherboard and processor toward the end of this year. _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.

Yeah, but the case is too large to pull out among all my clutter until I finish reorganising my room (being a Mittle Devil, it needs a lot of space), and it doesn't (yet) have front USB ports. Also not all my systems will ever have front USB ports, so a DVD is (in my mind) the most practical solution. _________________ My graphics card database can be found at http://www.gpuzoo.com.
