Pictures, since they're too big for here: https://imgur.com/a/oNBsVsV

I was recently able to acquire an Intel development motherboard called the SIBX_CRB. There seems to be no documentation at all on it, but I've been able to glean a few things from the pictures the Taobao forwarder sent:

- It is definitely Sandy Bridge/Socket 1155.
- It is almost identical in design to the Lynnfield Customer Reference Board.
- The silkscreen on the back and a sticker on the front references Ibex Peak, which is the codename for LGA 1156 chipsets.

Based on this, and the fact that LGA 1155/56 chipsets seem to be somewhat interchangeable (shown by the ASRock P67 Transformer, a 1156 board with the P67 chipset), I'm inclined to think that it is some sort of early Sandy Bridge test using a Lynnfield era chipset. Does anyone know more about this?

In addition, the motherboard also came with a CPU. The only picture I have of it is very low contrast, so we've done our best to edit it, but I have no idea if the conclusions I'm drawing from it are correct. So far I think the Qspec is QQ8E and the product code is CM8062301872599, but if anyone thinks they can understand it better please let me know.

Hmm, that's weird. Try this pic of the CPU, and the one Wasmachineman_NL sent (thank you, by the way):

Is it possible to pull the chipset heatsink and identify the SSPEC or QSPEC on the chipset?

I definitely will when I get it, but it'll be stuck at my Taobao forwarder for a few more weeks til I get enough items to make bulk postage worthwhile.

It should be the Intel Braidwood technology outlined here ( https://www.techpowerup.com/144842/intel-smart-response-technology-detailed ) and here ( https://www.techpowerup.com/92219/dfi-lanparty-ut-p55-motherboard-pictured ). It is also present on the Lynnfield CRB, which makes this board all the more weirder as it was a cancelled feature on that platform.

Thanks for the info! I never knew that existed.

No problem, neither did I. I wonder if it's still functional on this board...

Finding a NAND module to fit it would be.....challenging....

True, but if documentation for Braidwood can be found, maybe one can be made >Smile

The board and chip arrived and the mystery has been solved Smile

My guess was correct - it is an early Sandy Bridge chip (Q0EH, B1-step) running on a previous-gen P55 chipset.

very interesting! So ES CPU with 1155 contacts and motherboard LGA1155, but with previous generation chipset (LGA1156). Can you save BIOS from this motherboard there or on any free file service Wink
