Did anybody had connection problems to the site or the forum in the past month, or noticed if loading forum pages sometimes becomes very slow? I'm thinking about moving the site and forum to different hosting company, and your responses will help me to determine how fast I need to move the site.

No problem here that i can think of. Site runs smoothly when i visit.

Edit: It can be the amount of chips in your collection that is the problem. Try sending half of them to me, and se if it gets better with fewer pages. Wink

Sometimes, but not very often, I can't reach the page.
But most of time, it works very fast !

If you suspect small outages, try http://www.host-tracker.com to check availability. I have used that for my pages and gets an email whenever it goes down or up if the outage is more than five minutes.

Thank you guys for your responses, you confirmed my suspicion. I'm going to move the site to new server very soon. It'll be with new hosting company as I want to get a virtual private server and my current hosting company doesn't offer that kind of hosting.

Thank you for the link, my hosting company already has similar tool in place. According to the tool the site was down for about 40- 50 minutes this month. I suspect that forum downtime was even longer.

It seems to go down for a few minutes at least a couple of times every week. I have not6iced that it is generally only the forums which go down, or they stay down longer than the rest of the site.

The site and forum will be moved to new server either this week or beginning of next week. For the move I will need to disable the forum for short period of time, hopefully for less than two hours - depending on how much time it'll take to backup data on old server, restore data on new server and redirect the forum software to the new server. I'll post here exact date when this will happen.
