|
|
So, I had a chance to buy an unknown EISA card that later I found out was a Unisys SCAMP the other day on a Facebook group. I made an offer, the seller accepted and asked how I'd like to pay. Told him paypal or venmo and then he ghosted me. Finally responded "sorry, someone else offered more" without giving me the chance to counter or anything.
Long story short, I've never even heard of these until now but it looks like a neat MCM. Has anyone ever seen one of these for sale before? I'd kinda like to have one now that I know they exist, but my brief searches around online lead me to believe they're all but extinct now. The one in particular was an A-series I believe (large MCM with a processor die and 10 SRAM chips under a tin lid)
Thoughts? |

A processor board with a SCAMP MCM on it recently sold on ebay for $153.50. But that's the only one I've seen for sale in years...
Here's the link for that auction:

They're beautiful little MCM's, but just about impossible to find. I got mine a few years ago and was very lucky to get it. _________________ "The error of youth is to believe that intelligence is a substitute for experience,

| Well, if anyone has one, I kinda want to add one to my collection now and would definitely be a buyer. Odd things get me hooked and now I just gotta have it lol |

| I did bid on the ebay board and finally let it go as it went for too much. They are very cool, but have not seen many at all. |

I could never own one of these things. I would be far too tempted to see what happens when I press on the lid |

Don't just press on the lid, rip the lid off, it's beautiful underneath...
