In August of 1995 Intel started removing dash characters in part numbers of all products:

Quote:
DESCRIPTION / BENEFITS OF CHANGE:
Removal of dash (-) in Marketing product name, product name marked on units, and product name
marked on labels.

BENEFITS:
1. Consistency across all Divisions/All products on marking and labeling.
2. Does not affect the way the customer orders product today, which is without the dash.

This change was completed November 27 1995, so there shouldn't be any Pentium CPUs and other chips with '-' produced after that date. I guess this explains why some late 80386 (like this one: http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/80386/Intel-A80386DX16.html) and 80486 processors don't have a dash between DX/SX/EX/... and frequency.
