Four Rage XL chips on a long PCI board. It is simply magnificent, and useless for gaming. |

A quad output PCI card with 4 discrete GPUs? What does the connector on the rear look like? The shell looks like it's a quad of RJ45s or something, like VGA over CATx.
Digital signage controller or something? |

Yep, quad RJ45 connectors. It's HDBaseT, I believe. |

| And to think a HD 5870 could run 6 displays in 2009! |

I found the card; it's not HDBase-T, it's VGA coming out of an RJ45. There's also no HDBase-T transceivers on the card, the GPUs are pathed directly to the rear panel connectors (and I'm positive RageXL doesn't have built-in HDbase-T )

| Good to know. I initially assumed that the blurry PLX switch was some controller that performed the magic, until I realized it wasn't. |

Apparently, they used the RJ45 for space saving scheme for the standard VGA port interface |
